About Clean Water Action Council

The Clean Water Action Council is a non-profit citizen organization, founded in 1985, working to protect public health and the environment in Northeast Wisconsin.

We work to increase public awareness of the many threats to water quality, and to build support for improved management.

Northeast Wisconsin is blessed with valuable water resources, beautiful lakes and rivers, abundant groundwater, and frequent rainfall.

We're fortunate to sit on the edge of Green Bay, Lake Michigan and the Great Lakes system, which contain 20% of the world's fresh surface water.
